The article dwells on the historic prerequisites of Navruz formation as the most important holiday of ancient Aryans and its conversion into the festivity of international scales. The authors highlight historic stages and geographical diffusion of Navruz celebration and ideological difficulting of its retainment. Proceeding from the results of the research conducted the author proves that Navruz is one of significant evincements of culture not only in reference to the Tajik people, but to the inhabitants of all Oriental counries either. Taking this fact into consideration in 2011 UNESCO included Navruz into the list of the cultural legacy needing retainment and preservation. The role of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon in acquiring the international status by Navruz-holiday is elucidated in particulars.
