Basic legal signs of terminology are designated in the article, juridical terms of the Tajik language being taken as examples. The author determines the role of a juridical term in law, designates the types of normative terminology, defines their positions and degree of usage. He expounds the viewpoints of scientists concerned with the correlation of the categories of “juridical concept” and “juridical term”, their common features and peculiarities. There is an indication to the main streamlines in regard to the development of terminology knowledge. The author pays attention to the issue of correlation between the Tajik normative language and that one of the juridical doctrine, to the importance of a precise assessment of each branch term. The most informative varieties of the juridical language and their usage under the interpretation of laws and codes are defined.
