For the first time in the Tajik historiography there are elucidated the facts which preconditioned the initial stage of Gurids’ invasion into India. The following mediaeval Persian-Tajik compositions are used: “Tabakoti Nosiri” by Minkhodji Sirodge Djuzdjani (the middle of the XIII-th century), “Dostoni turktozoni Hind” (“The Tales about Turks’ Forays upon India”) by Mirzo Nasrullakhan Fidai (the XVII-th c.), “Odob-ul-kharb-va-shudjoa” (“On Rules and Order of Waging Wars and on Bravery” by Mukhammad Mansur Mubarakshakh (the XIII-th c.). The works by home and foreign authors are used as well. It is well-grounded that Gurid’s military marches to India resulted in the end of Gaznevids’ dynasty ruling. It is elicited that Kutbiddin Aybek, one of Shakhabuddin Gurid’s military chiefs, in 1206 founded Delhi sultanat on the basis of Gurids’ conquests - it was the first Moslemic state in India where the Gurid dynasty of Shinasbenids was governing during hundred years.
