A perfect man in Kamoli Khujandi's poetry

Abstract

The author of the article analyzes the problem of a perfect man in Sufism in Sheikh Kamoli Khujandis poetry. She canvasses this term in the Sufi works written by Izuddin Nasafi and Ibn Arabi; the poems by Sheikh Kamoli Khujandi being included as well. The author underscores that Muhammad, the prophet of Islam resorting to such expressions as “Bashir”, “Mustafa”, “Ahmad”, “elect”, “owner of two worlds”, “leader of prophet”, “worthy of greetings” and etc. Such nominations describe the attributes of perfect man conveying love and great esteem. Muhammad (s) is portrayed as a person of moral merits and high moral qualities being presented as an image for imitation.
