SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON THE PLACE OF REGIONAL PRESS IN SOCIAL NETWORKS

Abstract

The article examines the specificity of the place of regional media in social networks. The author emphasizes that high-level information and communication technologies allow creating new information products, new ways of working with the audience. For regional and local publications it can also provide access to electronic content from national and global electronic archives. The author considers the newspaper's presence in social networks to be effective only if the leadership of editions adapts the themes of its content to the space of those from Internet sites. Journalistic material takes on a new form and image, multimedia elements are added to it, that being a common requirement for online content.
