SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON GENDER POLICY INSURANCE IN TAJIKISTAN REPUBLIC

Abstract

The article analyzes the issues of gender policy in the Republic of Tajikistan. On the basis of sources and popular science literature, social and legal status of men and women, involvement of women into political, economic, social and cultural life of the country, implementation of gender policy, enhancement of the place and role of women in society, activities of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, problems of inequality of men and women, organization of the system of state protection of women, etc. are revealed. It is stated that the civil war in Tajikistan in 1992-1997 had a negative impact on ensuring gender equality. Since 1998, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has elaborated the National Action Plan to enhance the place and role of women and dozens of programs and strategies were adopted in this area. The article adduces the data on elevating the role of women in society.
