The article presents an analysis of the peculiarities of translation of simple primordially Tajik verbs from “Masnavi Manavi” by Djalaliddin Rumi into Russian and English languages. Proceeding from the translation of six simple Tajik verbs into Russian and English languages the author makes the conclusion that practically always polysemantic Tajik verbs are presented in the languages of translation by polysemantic verbs. It is especially underscored that in the course of time some polysemantic verbs got completely out of use (turunchidan), some of them passed into the rank of bookish vocabulary (tuhtan). Some polysemantic verbs lose separate meanings (angehtan, haridan, donistan). There occur also polysemantic verbs whose all meanings are presented for today. Specifications are introduced into the translation of separate beyts in which the considered polysemantic verbs are used.
