The article is devoted to the consideration of such a disparate phenomenon of the information and communication space as invective vocabulary. An instrumental analysis of its use made it possible to introduce the term "invective construction." This term expands and concretizes at the same time the concept of invective, which in its turn is formalized not only in verbal, but in figurative-symbolic form. Sociological, psychological, cultural and historical aspects of their use in texts of different levels were studied: from situation of interpersonal communication to media text. The problem of the functioning of invective constructions in various types of texts is highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the instrumental importance of invective designs, since their use is of high practical importance and can be demanded by the specialists involved in the creation of texts for MM. The article identifies the factors that explain functional and pragmatic importance of using invective constructions.
