ORGANIZATION OF ACTIVITIES OF “BOFANDA” ARTEL IN KHUJAND (1926 – 1943)

Abstract

The article dwells on the history of upspringing and development of the first artel in the Tajik SSR – that of “Bofanda” since which there incepts the history of light industry evolution. It is underscored that “Bofanda” artel is considered to be the first step on the way to the country`s industrialization. The detailed information is adduced about the period of “Bofanda” artel functioning – since the organization of the first cooperative in Khujand under the title of “Bofanda” (1920), the periods of its formation in the years of 1926 – 1932 and its transformation into a factory (1932 – 1943). The most part of statistical data collected in the archive is introduced firstly into scientific circulation. The author has adduced the analysis of artel`s staff with the emphasis on sex and national appurtenance, as it was actual in the period investigated. Designing on the premise of statistical data and digital indices, the author has proved the role of “Bofanda” artel in the formation and development of the country`s economy, the achievements of light industry inclusive.
