Abstract

The article deals with the study of the history of the political life of Kokand Khanate, carried out by the historians of the Soviet period. By the will of fate, the life of the Tajik people in the late medieval and New eras took place in Kokand Khanate, which existed in 1709-1876. The khanate included such regions and areas as Khujand, Ura-Tyube, Kanibadam, Isfara and Asht. For a quarter of a century, the khanate included Karategin (Garm-Rasht) and Darvaz, at times Matcha and Kulyab. The scientific literature of this period covers various aspects of the life of the khanate, from political struggle to popular movement, from economic life to diplomatic relations, from the analysis of customs and rituals to that one of ethnical processes. Among them there is the literature which considers in a concise form the political life of the khanate, as well as dissertation researches on the trade and political relations of Kokand with the Russian Empire. It is gratifying that a lot has been done in regard to ethnic processes, economic and cultural type formed in the new era around the regions of Khujand, Ura-Tyube, Kandibadam and Asht. During the current years of independence, researchers often sharply criticize the Soviet methodology concerned with the study of historical science, accusing researchers of unilateral coverage of the course of events. We must pay tribute to the fact that despite the removal of special attention to the class nature of the course of events, the studies of this period are characterized with a deep scientific analysis the research, objective logical conclusions whichare especially valuable. Scrupulous researchers - orientalists of the Soviet era are. Nabiev, L. Troitskaya, H.N. Bababekova, A.M. Mukhtarova, N.O. Tursunova, V.M. Ploskikh and others.
