The article examines the specifics of covering problems from women's lives in the publication "Sukhani Khalq", which is the party printed organ of the executive committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the Sughd region. The role of the article genre in the discussion of the problem of domestic violence is analyzed. It was found that in the period 2018-2020, 44 articles were published in the publication "Sukhani Khalq" devoted to various aspects of women's lives, of which 14 (31.8%) touched upon the topic of violence against women from husbands and mothers-in-law. It is emphasized that one of the pressing problems in the lives of young women after marriage is continuing their professional training, which in some cases is hindered by the mother-in-law and husband and which sometimes leads to the breakdown of the family. The article explores the possibilities of the genre in covering issues related to domestic violence. It is concluded that the publication's constant attention to women's issues, especially to the topic of domestic violence, indicates its social significance.
