Abstract

The article notes that the chronicle “Zafarnomai Khusravi” by an unknown author (year of completion of the manuscript 1862/1863) is one of the most valuable and reliable sources on the history of the khanates of Central Asia and Afghanistan in the first half of the ХIХ-th century and on the history of the relationship between the Bukhara Emirate and the Kokand Khanate in particular. Based on the materials of the historical chronicle, clarifications have been made regarding the conquest of Kokand by the Bukhara Emirate as a result of the campaigns of Amir Nasrullah. It is emphasized that the author of the chronicle describes in detail the unprecedented cruelty of the Bukharan troops and their plundering of the population of Kokand. It is concluded that the chronicle of "Zafarnomai Khusravi" fills certain gaps in the coverage of important problems in the relationship between the Bukhara Emirate and the Kokand Khanate in the first half of the ХIХ -th century.
