Among the names existing in the territory of the village of Imbef and originating from the Tajik, Sogdian and Arabic languages, one can find a group of microtoponyms of Turkic origin. The place of this group of geographical names in the microtoponymy system of this village is considered and assessed. As a result of comparison with toponymic materials of other regions of Tajikistan and with data from cultural records, the conclusion is presented that it is appropriate to divide Turkish nouns into two groups: the first group includes nouns that are common to most regions; the second group includes microtoponyms that have found a place in the system of geographical names of this region due to various factors.
