This article examines disjunctive relations in the Uzbek and Russian languages from a comparative perspective. The essence of the logical concepts of conjunction and disjunction is defined. The concept of "conjunction" is characterized as an equal concept within a specific system of logic. Disjunction denotes the realized equivalents of two or more logical units that have equivalent status with respect to each other. The disjunctive relations that function with the help of the coordinating connection through morphological means – yo, yo, yoki, yoki – in simple and complex sentences of a disjunctive nature are substantiated. It is emphasized that disjunctive relations are closely linked to their manifestation in alternative speech situations. It is noted that disjunctive relations are considered by scholars in both narrow and broad terms, and sentences with disjunctive relations can occur in polypropositional and polypredicative constructions. It is noted that the basis of the content of disjunctive sentences is the judgment of affirmation and negation. It is mentioned that constructions with the concepts of "disjunction" and "disjunctive relations" examine oppositional terms with the concept of conjunction and conjunctive relations. Disjunctive relations are based on the phenomenon of disjunction and manifest themselves as its manifestation.
