This article examines the evolution of social policy and the healthcare system in the field of maternal and child protection during the period of state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. Relying on official sources, regulatory and legal documents, as well as scientific and popular literature, the author analyzes the main changes and reforms in the healthcare sector, particularly in the area of legal and social protection of mothers and children. The article highlights the role of the Leader of the Nation in strengthening social policy, developing medical services, expanding national programs for the protection of motherhood and childhood, and implementing sustainable human development goals. The author emphasizes that the achievements in healthcare and maternal and child protection are the result of consistent state policy, cooperation with development partners, and the enhancement of social responsibility within society. The analysis demonstrates that during the years of independence, strong legal and institutional foundations have been established to ensure maternal and child health, gender equality, and the sustainable development of future generations.
