Principal Reasons and Stages of Tajiks` Emigration beyond their Motherland Baundaries

Abstract

The article dwells on the principal reasons and stages of Tajiks` emigration, about 40 men Tajiks live now beyong the boundaries of contemporary Tajikistan; the figure increasing seven times the number of Tajiks living in RT. Emigration of Tajiks beyond the  boundaries  of their motherland began since times immemorial being divided into two periods. The first period consists of  five  stages.

Each wave of Tajiks` emigration has its own reasons: invasion of Arabs in the  middle of the VII-th century, advent of Turkic-speaking dynasties to power, intrusion of Mongols, wars inside dynasties. The second period began in the 20-ieth of the XX-th century and has been going on up to nowadays. Its initial stage was associated with the activities of the Soviet state,  the next ones being preconditioned with the civil war of 1992-1997 and labour migration.
