In the history of the Persian-Tajik literature the creation of the representatives of Indian style is distinguished, on the one hand, with exquisiteness of ideas, grace, richness of colours and subtlety of images; on the other hand – with ornateness of expressions, finesse of hints, usage of flowery metaphors, complicated and intricate similes. Diffusion of this style in Iran and Maverannakhr took place basically in the XVII-th century. The article dwells on the analysis of mutual influence of the two poets of the XVII-th century - Mirzo Djalal Asir, man-of-letters who belonged to the Sefavids` dynasty and never visited India, and Mirzo Soib Tabrezi, one of the brightest representatives of Indian style. The majority of the authors of mediaeval tezkires equalize Asir`s creation with Soib`s poems; but, in the author`s opinion, it is an exaggeration as among the poets of Indian style the palm of priority should undoubtedly be that of Soib`s. Proceeding from the analysis of similar motives, poetical replies and imitations written to each other the author comes to the conclusion that it is difficult to determine who imitated whom for sure. But one fact is irrefutable: both Asir and Soib highly appreciated the taste of style, they wrote subtle and charming replies to each other.
