Abstract

The author of the article analyzes the peculiarities of using tautological phraseology combinations consisting of preposition and noun or of two or three self-sufficient words with prepostions and the connective conjunction –у (-ву, -ю) or presenting structurally in themselves a reiterated component and a preposition lying between them. The pointed phraseology combinations re considered on the materials of the historic chronicles appertaining to the X-th – the XIII-th centuries from the point of view of primordial Tajik words and borrowings from other Iranian languages being used in them. It is marked that in the phraseology combinations of the period in question there occur borrowings from other Iranian languages, Sughdian and Parfyanian inclusive. Proceeding from the analysis of the examples from the chronicles mentioned, the author makes the following inferences: the first group of phraseology combinations occurring in the language of the historic prose of the above-pointed period both today is used as active elements in the Tajik language; the second group is occurred in Modern Tajik with partial changes in separate components; the third group is found only in the language of the chronicles mentioned above, but today it has come out of usage.
