Word order is one of the crucial synactical question in any language. Word order in the English and the Tajik languages differs in many regards. Theoretical linguistics distinguishes two types of word order: free and strict. Word order in the English language is strict while in the Tajik language it is relatively free. In the Tajik language parts of the sentence can change their position. Respective of actual division of the sentence the place of the principal parts sentence is strict and definite in both languages. In the Tajik language the secondary parts of the sentence are placed between the principal parts, but in the English language, their position is after the principal parts of the sentence. It complicates the study of the English language for Tajik students.
