The author determines the role of the famous Indian poet of the 17th century Muhammadtagir Ghani Kashmiri in Persian-language literature of India. In order to describe Ghani Kashmiri`s important contribution into poetry development in Farsi-Indian style, the authors` statements of many anthologies are quoted written on merits of the poet’s work, his mastership in using artistic means and give a high assessment into Ghani Kashmiri`s poetic mastership and emphasize his poetic fame and celebrate a worthy contribution into Indian style development. Gani Kashmiri himself was proud of his own poetic mastership, poetry that is full of new and vivid images and subtle poetic comparisons. As illustrations there are many bayts from Ghani Kashmiri`s creations, which are written in self-praise genre.
