ISSUES OF IMPLEMENTING THE NORMS OF PROFESSIONAL ETHICS OF JOURNALISTS IN LOCAL TELEVISION BROADCASTING

The article examines the problems of application and compliance with ethical standards of journalistic activity in local television channel programs. The rapid and qualitatively new development of Tajik television, especially private television channels, during the period of state independence necessitates the preparation of programs based on the norms of professional ethics, international journalistic standards, and principles of social responsibility. It is emphasized that television, as an important social institution, should contribute to the formation of a healthy worldview and the raising of the level of public culture by providing accurate, reliable and objective information. It was noted that in certain cases, the programs of the television companies TV Sughd, TRK Asia, SM-1, Tanin, and TV Diyor violated professional ethics, including excessively detailed descriptions of tragic events, violations of the presumption of innocence, etc. It is concluded that an objective reflection of reality is only possible by adhering to journalistic ethical standards and ensuring a balance between creative freedom, professional responsibility, and the public interest.
