Abstract

The article presents information about Aburaikhon Beruni related to the history of science, and examines the information contained in his works about Beruni’s collaboration with scientists of his era. The information of Beruni about his correspondence with Abulwafa Buzjani regarding their simultaneous observation of the lunar eclipse in different places, the letter of Nazif ibn Yumn about the results of the observation of the summer solstice under the guidance of Abusahl Kuhi, A letter from Abusahl Masihi on an experimental way to count the number of permutations of the letters of a phrase, a letter from Abuljud Muhammad ibn Layth Samarkandi with answers to four mathematical questions of Beruni, including the one about the regular heptagon, a letter from Biruni to Abusaid Sijzi on the proof of Abunasr ibn Iraq's theorem of sines for plane and spherical triangles. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the information provided by Beruni makes it possible to uncover previously unknown data on the activities of the aforementioned scientists, as well as to more fully elucidate the issue of the scientific correspondence of medieval scholars of the Muslim East.
