The article dwells on prepositional-postpositional constructions in Shugnanian and German languages expressed by temporal prepositions. Both German and Shugnanian temporal prepositions are divided into four subgroups. Under the description of all four groups of prepositions continuity and time period limit beset with the facts stated in the sentence were taken into consideration. The author elicited the cases of allo- and isomorphism (coincidence and divergence) in usage of temporal prepositions in correlated languages. In Shugnanian primary prepositions perform broad functions in prepositional and postpositional constructions. In German different self-sufficient language units participate along with prepositions for realization of temporal concepts.
