Interpretation of the Problem of Practical Wisdom in Djami`s Poem “Khiradnomai Iskandari” (The Wisdom Professed by Alexander the Macedonian)

Avtors

Nizomov Mukhriddin Zayniddinovich

Abstract

The author has analyzed Abdurrakhman Djami`s views on the problems of practical wisdom. The latter is treated as practical philosophy, as a part of it, and in comprehension of our ancestors it was more associated with life problems and man`s behavior. In the poem Djami describes Iskandar`s life since the birth and up to the hour of his death, but central attention is paid to philosophical problems reflected in the book of wisdom and being written by Greek philosophers and Iskandar. The author adduces wisdoms belonging to seven sages of the book dealing with social-political and moral problems; the utterances enunciated in ancient times by them bearing sometimes a mystical shade. Djami`s ruminations concerned with political frames, tsar`s and state`s missions, justice, observance of people`s rights, individual`s social position, people`s morality are of great importance having not lost their value up to nowadays.
