The article analyzes the meaningful phraseological units of the English and Tajik languages, expressing an emotional and physical state and uniting phraseological fields. Attention is paid to determining the equivalence of semantic phraseological units at the level of the microfield of polysemantic phraseological units based on the analysis of actual examples. An analysis of polysemantic phraseological units of the compared languages led to the conclusion that in the Tajik language, semantic phrases are superior in polysemy to similar phraseological units in the English language. It is emphasized that the wealth of phraseological units is inextricably linked with national characteristics and influencing factors: people's living conditions, their history, geographical environment, social structure, culture and customs.
