Based on the study of works related to Iranian pre-Islamic literature and the works of medieval authors, it is concluded that after the Arab conquest of Transoxiana, many examples of prose of Iranian pre-Islamic literature were translated into Arabic. The continuation of the traditions of Pahlavi epistolary art in the work of Abduhamid Katib is analyzed. His letters, including the “Letter to Secretaries”, “Letter on the Occasion of Victory”, “Letter in Praise of Brotherhood”, “Letter of Abdulhamid Katib from Marwan ibn Muhammad to his son and heir to the throne Abdullah”, touch upon previously undiscussed issues of the epistolary tradition of Iranian pre-Islamic culture and civilization, which was a new theme in Arabic stationery. It is argued that Katib’s epistolary heritage had a significant impact on the development of the epistolary genre in the Arabic-speaking period of Tajik-Persian literature, thereby strengthening literary ties.
