Avtors

Abstract

The article offers a description of two divans of the little-known Persian-Tajik poet of the 13th century Ziyauddin Khujandi, also known as nisba Forsi. It is noted that the existence of the divan of Ziyauddin Forsi Khujandi in the library of Cambridge University was first reported back in 1951 by the English orientalist Donald Robertson. A complete description of the Cambridge manuscript and the genre composition of the divan is given. After analyzing this manuscript, clarifications were made to the description of the genre composition of the divan from the Cambridge University library, compiled by the famous Tajik literary critic A. Nasriddinov based on an article by D. Robertson. Particular attention is paid to the clarity and legibility of the handwriting in which the divan is written. A description is also given of the second, more complete and more ancient divan of Ziyauddin, discovered in the library of Kohi Guliston (Iran). It is emphasized that the divan stored in Kokhi Guliston is written in a very complex and unreadable “talik” handwriting. A comparative analysis of two divans was carried out in terms of genre composition. It is concluded that the presence of two divans creates the prerequisites for the publication of the poetic heritage of Ziyauddin Forsi Khujandi.
