The concept of "cause," which can be expressed in language with both preposition (explains the reason for a verb) and conjunctions, (in this case, the subordinate conjunction is followed by a sentence that explains the reason for the action) has been examined in the context of ancient and modern poetic and prose works. It is noted that in Persian manual books, this grammatical meaning is conveyed by the term "ta'lil". Analysis and comparison of the available factual material reveals that conjunctions come first, followed by prepositions, when expressing the concept of cause. Among the prepositions, the primary and genuine ones for this concept are "why" and "from." Ancient texts typically use the preposition "andar" to express the meaning of cause, but its use in modern Tajik literary language is limited. In general, our past and present narrator ancestors, most often used and continue to use the prepositions "baroi," "az," "ba," "bar," and "dar" ("for," "from," "to," "on," and "in") to express the cause of an action or event.
